Terms of Service

The deal, in plain English.

Layroom is a small product made by one person. These terms keep things honest on both sides. No legalese theatre, no fine-print landmines.

01

Who runs this

Layroom is owned and operated by Cristiano Soleti, a sole proprietor based in Italy. The service is the floor-plan and 3D editor available at layroom.com, together with the catalog, generation, and account features attached to it. You can reach the operator at [email protected].
02

What you get

Layroom is provided on an as-is basis. The geometry tools (plans, walls, doors, windows, the stock catalog, local save) are free and intended to stay that way. Paid tiers, when available, add AI generation throughput and cloud sync. The service has no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, including (without limitation) construction, permitting, contract negotiation, or real-estate transactions. If you need a guarantee, you need an architect or a surveyor, not a browser tool.
03

Your work stays yours

You keep ownership of the floor plans, prompts, and designs you create with Layroom. By using the service you grant Layroom a non-exclusive license to host, render, transcode, and serve your work for the sole purpose of running the product for you. We do not claim a license to publish your designs elsewhere, to train models on them, or to sell them. If you delete your account, that license ends.
04

Acceptable use

Use Layroom for the thing it is for: visualizing interior spaces. Do not upload illegal content. Do not use the service to harass others, plan unlawful acts, or violate someone else's rights. Do not scrape the catalog, other users' work, or the AI generation endpoints. Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse the service. Automated access is allowed only via interfaces we publish for that purpose.
05

Accounts, suspension, termination

Accounts are free to create and free to close. We can suspend or terminate an account that breaks the acceptable use rules, abuses paid features, or chargebacks fraudulent payments. We will tell you why when we can do so safely. You can close your account at any time by emailing the operator; account data is erased on request, subject to short retention windows for billing records where law requires them.
06

Billing and the Merchant of Record

Paid Pro and Studio plans are billed monthly through Paddle, who acts as our Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller on your receipt, collects the payment, and remits EU VAT or US sales tax on our behalf; we never see your card number or banking details. First-time charges are refundable within 14 days, no questions asked. You can cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and leaves your already-generated 3D models intact in your library. Paddle's own customer terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) apply to the payment transaction itself.
07

Limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layroom's total liability for any claim related to the service is capped at the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, or at zero if you are a free-tier user. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, lost data, or consequential harm. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by Italian or EU law, including liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
08

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Where EU consumer law applies, you keep the right to bring a dispute before the courts of your country of residence and to use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform. We will try to settle any disagreement by email first; nothing here forces you to give up rights you have by law.
09

Changes to these terms

We will email account holders at least 14 days before substantive changes take effect. Visitors without an account should re-read this page from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent update; older versions are available by emailing the operator.

Note: this page is the operator's plain-English description of the terms, not a substitute for legal advice tailored to your situation.
